  • Should be do-able

E mail sent re Saturday ride out.

    PM me if not received.

  • thanks Bernie.. i'll need to re-arrange some family stuff, would be good to hook up..

  • Another reason not to be there on race weekend.

Surely that's another reason to be there on race weekend? See them here (which is in Houffalize) on the way out, have a nice lunch, head over to Remouchamps to watch the race on La Redoute, then find a bar to watch the finish on. A perfect day out.

Ah, but we are on a hard core riding expedition, with no drunkeness or bad language...

maybe if its not -5 deg C

  • That's where the La Chouffe comes in, two of those for breakfast and you don't give a tinker's cuss about the temperature.

  • ha.. seriously though we wanted an extended stay so the may bank holiday seemed most logical and without cramming in a 275km sportive followed by chasing the race on sunday with sportstour nonsense..

That's because you don't leave the bar.

  • Now I can't drink beer all this is irrelevant anyway. Boo.

  • At all? Dietary reasons?

I don't see you being a closet alco

  • Yep, was diagnosed with coeliac disease back in 2005, so no beer any more.

  • There must be gluten free beer (which probably means no good stuff though) ?

  • There is, this is by far the best;

I'll keep an eye out for those for a compare and contrast with their 'normal' brews.

  • Si, don't worry i'll ask the race organisers to move the LBL date to suit us.. the weekend 20/21.. was chockerblock full accommodation wise, probably roads esp E40 gridlocked, ferry ports striking.. and i did fancy riding 280km in one day..

    ill keep you posted..

  • taking orders for squad tee shirts, either white or pale blue..
Gildan soft style, G64000, 100% cotton
need to be quick approx £13.50..
