I've also decided to get my fat bum in gear and get some more audax action on the go. I've just signed up for the 10 Thames Bridges 111km in Maidenhead on the 14th April and the Freewheeling Spring Ride 80km on the 21st April if anybody else fancies either

Sunday ride anyone? Weather permitting.
Or would Saturday be possible for people? Probably tied up with family committments on Easter Sunday, but pretty sure I can get a pass for the Saturday. Maybe usual Clapham Saaf jaunt to Box Hill and back, maybe with a stop at the wine lodge on the return leg.
(Sorry Stu, for hijacking your post.)

Actually, what was I thinking - out for sunday as I'm going to visit some otters.
I would advise anyone planning a ride for saturday to stay out of SE london as I will be driving and potentially following the fine driving examples set for me on our Italy trip...

Is this good friday thing ticketed, like paper ticketed? It says on the site that they'll be "sending tickets" in "mid february". Can you not just turn up and wave £12 at them to get in?
Also if Hats is now copying Bernie's driving, I'm leaving the country, not just SE London.

Oh, hang on - it says on the booking page that you can pay on the day. These guys need an interwebs genius of some kind to sort their UX out.

That page hasn't changed (beyond the date) in at least 4 years

As long as you don't follow the example of reversing whilst looking anywhere other than behind you, then you should be fine. Give camper vans a wide berth too.

Well, when the Austrians dont offer Kaisersmaarn for breakfast.. I get grumpy..
I'm not on the track Friday, some of the forum are.. Thinking spin out to Sevenoaks first..
One eye on the weather though..Btw I am competing in a corporate omnium at HHV next month..

Cheeky.
Remind me not to "forget" your bike when I am packing the van.
"Oh, I was sure I had packed your beautifully tailored ride in the wagon. How about mental Red for the first couple of days?"

^ In, probs. Need to give this bike fit a proper outing that isn't just "5 mile snowy commute"
