should not be sorry
I have just found the single most amazing bit of road I have ever ridden.
@gabes its in your 'endz' (ish).
Roncombe Hill/ Lane, Sidbury
33% then a valley that is endlessly beautiful.
I know it very well. I lived the other side of the ridge in Farway when I was a kid and our dogs went to kennels on that hill. It's a fucker to ride up.
On the next valley over there's a cracking road with an amazing view down the Sid Valley https://goo.gl/maps/5iacseqfpzM2
Strangely- I think I know that hill quite well!
I love it down here.
Ha! Was something like this in Caversham (Reading) about a dozen years ago, in a chalk pit. Stumbled on it and might still have a nokia phone pic of it somewhere. Was super-scary / home made rad and wobbly and never saw anyone riding it - will go back and see if it's still there this weekend.
General Wade's Military Road (B862), not far from Loch Ness. One of many highlights of recently completed Land's End - John o'Groats jaunt. (Report and photos to follow in tour section.)
Mapledurham Woods? All gone now.
@madman 2 years late, but where the hell was all that from? Amazing series!
Another pass near our house Bealach Beama
Passo San Boldo
Great surface, great road, almost totally traffic-free.
I usually don't like mountain tunnels but this one was amazing to ride through.
In Ariège, Midi-Pyrénées. .
Riding up the Mont de Lans out of Les Deux Alpes. Got to the ski station at 3200m. Fab day out.
