• I've ridden in a few of those areas before - looks like a nice route.

Should be a strava follow request coming your way now :-)

  • need to do it again, maybe this year

  • would there be more rides in the forest anytime soon?

  • There certainly will be, in around 3 -4 weeks from now.

  • Great! Looking forward!

  • ^^ Was really good. Did it with my dad, so the pace wasn't all that, but a really good route. Most of it was on the Downs Link, but there were three decent climbs to get your teeth into. Would be well up for repeating in a group slightly smaller than 3,000!

  • Seeing as Muddy Hell has been cancelled, I'll most likely be leading a ride on the 26th of October.

Won't start a list yet though, until I'm certain.

  • Nice one. I was going to suggest an informal evening / night ride. But whatever really. Just want to ride my cross bike.

  • Just want to ride my cross bike.

I'd quite like to see that new bike too :-)

Maybe bring along a few other frustrated cross racers?

  • What time would you start? I'll flag up the plan on the CX thread/s

  • I'll need to be elsewhere that evening, so between 10 -11am, so that there's a good few hours in which to play.

  • Just so I can remember who is doing what, I'll ( attempt to ) keep these two lists together.

    Beginners rides/skills session - October 19th ( 10.30am - 4pm )

    1. BN
    2. Shoosh
    3. Caz (pending hiring a suitable bike!)
    4. Rich. (work depending)
    5. Dr Cake
    6. malandro (plus one?)
    7. blowfish
    8. VVV[/QUOTE]

    Regular Epping ride - October 26th ( 10.30am - 3pm )

    1. BN

  • Not signing up yet but provisionally in for the regular ride.

Not signing up for skillz as I already boss the trails like a middle aged fat man scared of falling off again.

  • I fly out on that day, will see if I can make it.

    Have we already met?

  • I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make it now. I have a very bad ankle sprain after coming off my bike during cyclocross training. I have my first physio session tomorrow, so we will see how it goes. :(

  • Ouch :-(

Hope you heal up soon Doctor!

  • Going by next week's weather forecast, Saturday will be rather wet and slippery.

I'm in two minds about how suitable that might be for beginners, as I don't wish to see any more broken forumengers this year. I'll still be there, but things will be even slower than previously advertised!

Will be going for a ride around to check the conditions on either Thursday or Friday. It's not official, so there's no list and it will be rather short notice, so just let me know if you fancy coming along for a ride

  • There's shit loads of mud and mushrooms. Much fun.

  • I'm doubtful. Will aim to get out on my bike early next week, if not :(

  • Oh dear Howard, I hope you didn't eat that!

Nice pic though. I'll add it to the HB photo album :-)

  • No worries Shoosh. Get yourself well first.
