it does look like a bend ripple in the down tube.

^ I know, right..?
^^ if they are under the clearcoat you can't tell the difference.
the fork decals (and seatutbe too) are called senjafuda, they normally contain something personal of the rider/frame and its builder and origins.originally senjafuda (thousand shrine tags) scraps were related to the buddhist religion, where followers were bringing these scraps and leaving them sticked to the walls of the shrine so that enforced their prayers in various intentions. They were made of rice paper:)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senjafuda is some more, if you're inclined to learn more about them - but they are something rather new and very few frames have those.. -

Wow, that's amazing!
I can pin-stripe, so I could possibly do some japanese writing down the forks, that'd look cool

after the story above, it just sounds like you're getting tattooed 'cause it looks cool, and not 'cause of what it represents ;) gorgeous frame!

Pretty sure that photo showing damage is just the lug?
-

It looks a tad bent here as well. Looks like a frontal impact.
Best to check it out now before you spend loads on it.

You can see where the lug ends and where there seems to be some deformation of the downtube after it. I think Sumo is right, i would ask for some better pictures of that area before doing anything else. It would put me off completely.

Honestly it could just be camera flash. But if I was you I would go give it a feel before parting with any cash.

i also have a bridgestone but it came a bit chipped and i've been able to enjoy much more as i didn't have to worry about chipping the paint at all. email the seller and make sure it hasn't been crashed and it isn't damaged. build it up as quick as you can and ride the fuck out of it!

Area on the downtube behind the headtube lug looks fine to me, it's just reflections innit?
The area around the top of that lug, on the headtube itself though! That's where it look shafted to me.

Asked the seller is he can 100% confirm that there are no bends on this frame. His no returns, so that just covers myself even if he said it isn't bent and it is.
Seat-tube decal I'll just heat up, get some thinners on the adhesive and then reapply once painted.
I like the Anchor graphics, I'd just prefer Bridgestone in all honesty, I just prefer the actual font. Forks definitely need shot blasting.
Really digging the Japanese graphics down the forks of the build above, not too clued up on the NJS scene, so what kind of decals (they would go under the lacquer) look good?
