  • Are they camouflaged too? If so, possibly missed them.

  • I believe you are referring to the London Plane Tree.

  • Yes, but the camouflage seems more pronounced than in recent years. Maybe it's just a sign of thinning greenage in general, meaning they're not blending in with anything? Dunno. Do patches of bark fall off more readily when saturated?

  • I think it's part of the army/camoflage/fatigue look of quite a few years ago, the trees being slow an' all, have only just caught on, bit like the aussies really.

  • Rain in London is probably quite acidic, we've had a very wet year so they're shedding more bark? Dunno, I'm not a botanist/arborologist.

  • Right, from here:

"Finally, if you plan to cultivate Plane trees as wind barriers, keep in mind that extreme high winds and changes in humidity can cause older trees to shed their bark in large quantities."

  • ^^^^I haz actually noticed it myself

  • At least I know I'm not imagining things; or quite as many things.

They're just trying to be camo hipsters.

I'm confused, so camo was "in" quite a few years ago, and now hipsters wear it, so is camo in or out right now?
I only ask because I have a camoflage camelbak and don't want to be riding round looking "sooo last season" or whatever the kids say nowadays.

    In your opinions is camoflage:
    Cool?
    Uncool?
    Old-school cool?
    New-school cool?
    Hella cool, fool! ?
    Just plain old fool?
    Fresh?
    Hesh?
    Spesh?
or all of the above, bruv?

  • I bought some camo combat shorts but I cant find them...

  • Ha ha, should really have read the first page of this thread. This isnt about trees at all!
