That Land Shark paint job up the page a bit is stunning, really do want one of their frames at some point, if nothing else than for the paint!

I've seen some nice one colour/two shades jobs recently: classy and understated.

May not be everyone's taste but this NAHBS Crumpton finish is amazing IMHO

I'm about to take on a project which is pretty close to my heart. As a kid I always around hot-rods whether it be my father building them or watching them race.

Something I've always loved are 50s gassers. The whole point behind a traditional hot-rod is to make it go as quick as possible for as little money, so spending every penny on the engine instead of interior and paint. Hot-rodders where originally soldiers who came back from WW2 with engineering experience. Home-made modifications to make their cars go quicker was the done thing, you should fear any hot rod which hasn't had a penny spent on the looks.

I am in the process of drawing up the front end, which will look a little something like this:

I'm going to make the paint finish very rough looking, but the actual quality to the touch and attention to detail will be high. I'll be using 2k automotive primer white then grey, then rub through to the white a little and paint on the shark.

Trying to ease my frustration at seeing a once-in-a-lifetime Zullo frameset come up for sale, by posting some of The Master's work.

The land shark type ruins all their paint jobs for me

works a bit better on this one, maybe because it's in black doesn't stand out so much
