Just saw this in the Evening Standard.

Blimey! Somebody was very lucky yesterday on Blackfriars Bridge / Victoria Embankment. The bike is just a pile of rubbish, but amazingly the rider seems to be alright.

Does anybody now more?

I heard about this on Twitter - seems it was a left-turning HGV. Thankfully the rider's ok, but it looks like it could've been really nasty. Blackfriars is a deathtrap!

I'm concerned police won't act in any way and this incident won't feature in any stats as rider was 'uninjured'...

From Twitter, seems crash was on 24 July, rider is female and has posted pic of bike on Flickr herself.

Since they've re-opened blackfriers, after all the demonstrations have they actually made any real world improvements to the bridge?
