You should nip over to Fez, it's lovely.
Or just do what we did and lounge around not riding for a few days.

Go to http://www.justgiving.com/Edward-Scoble and click 'Donate' at the top.
That should do it!
And Ed's drug of choice is Coke... (as in the drink, Coca-Cola). He drinks bottles of it like there's no tomorrow.

Fuck me, the vast difference in culture are unbelievable when we got off the fast ferry to Tangier, booked ourselves in a rather shaggy and overpriced hotel £21), we were tired to haggle the price down.
Only 300km to Casablanca, we're in a very nice modern hotel with wifi, actual toilet and shower, that I managed to get the price down to £18.
Here's hoping Giles won't get any more puncture, I only got one which was cause by under inflation and smashed into a large rock on the middle of the road at 40kph.

tangiers is one hell of a shock when you arrive the first time
all the baggage carriers swarming onto the boat
the hustlers around the ferry terminal
quite an introduction to africa !well done ed
you're on the home straight now -

I'm impressed, jealous and proud Ed. Inspiring stuff.
-
• #166
yup ^
anyone up for doing this next summer ? via portugal
ed do you have any stats for the journey
average daily mileage
average speed etc ? -
• #167
Not yet, we kept taking the scenic route which probably increased our mileage, in France we measure our distance in a straight line to make it easier to cover up huge amount of tarmac, says 105km in a straight line is realistically 120km.
I've written down name of places and road we were on, so once I get back home, I'll use says, bikemap.net to calculated everything properly.
But it's defintely more than 105km a days on average, I'm a bit annoyed that I have an unused 22t cog after riding with 48/20 for the entire duration.

Donated. This is awesome, I'm jealous, doing it fixed, Morocco is wicked etc etc.
Basically this is awesome

What hill?
Racing against a bloke riding a horse in Morocco was pretty unnerving it have to be said.
In Rabat, Casablanca tomorrow, would have been there today but lack of accommodation forced us to reside in certain towns.

Rabat is awesome. Infact all of Morocco is.
-
• #173
I prefer the rural despite being littered with rubbish and dead animal, the people are lovely, the food are cheap and fantastic and the disused hotel are idea (£7), people seemed to be more confused by our presence than the cities.
Rabat is much easier to Cycle in and out unlike those Spanish cities with big motorway as the only entrance sometime.

Fear not, Ed, there should be a white house around somewhere, can't remember quite where and how, though.

Finally here, after the cold torrential rain, and 3 punctures within 40km of Casablanca, we managed to arrived on the 29th.
Brought cheap clothes and hopefully drown ourselves in mint teas that's popular here.
