  • Bought this the other day, but I am changing the purpose of the bike and need to get further forward so would like to exchange it for an inline post with the same dimensions.

It's about a week from being brand new.

  • what is the change of purpose?

  • It's a secret. That I've mentioned in a few threads.

  • Nice cooker.

  • Trick bike.

  • I want to move my weight forward a bit to deal with the cargo basket

  • passes out

  • Bump

  • After all your DIY activity that's what your kitchen floor looks like? I am disappoint!

Why not keep the seatpost and go the full Gaston?

  • I had considered that, however I'd prefer to set the Langer up to be dual purpose with two sets of bars:

    • Short stem, bullhorns and TT bars
    • Normal stem, drops

So I would want to move the saddle forward far enough to get a decent position when down on the aero extensions, but not so far (Gaston.fr) that it's unusable with the drops on.

  • (I am aware that compromise leaves no one happy)

  • Just turn the seat post round 180 degrees when you swap the bars and swap the saddle at the same time

  • Will I become a Catholic Republican with a penchant for cheese?

  • You are already.
    And also flip that stem.

  • Then the writing will be upside down!

  • To be honest the stem is not working- I'd like a -6.

  • This seatpost is now for sale- £40.
