Wanted: Colnago Super Front Forks

Posted on
  • Looking for a set of Colnago Super steel curved forks any size any condition, even fork crown -- mine have been 'lost in transit',,,

  • I have two Colnago curved blade chrome forks, one NOS with sloping crown and 153 of steerer, the other well used with a few marks but usable, flat crown, 204mm steerer. More pics HERE

  • Do you still have the 'NOS with sloping crown' forks and how much for 'em?

  • Yes I do still have them, £85 collected SE1/Waterloo

  • Hi Hutch...do you still have the non-NOS forks still?

  • Hey Leon - yes, have both still. You have a 'nag now!?

  • Hey Leon - yes, have both still. You have a 'nag now!?

Yes....2nd wife!....Goddess of Whine......looked at the extra pics of the non-nos forks.....and looks like a ding...or is that just a my aging eyes?.....I would be loyal to the present forks if they were the originals...but they are not.....and i have a thing about chrome forks.

She would kill me if she knew i wrote that!

  • The tattier fork does have a small ding in leg near crown but purely cosmetic, fork alignment still fine and it should cause nothing other than visual irritation ;-)

  • Hi there!

is the flat crown Colnago Fork still available? is it the one with the dent? It seems to be a '77 version - if available, I'd be interested. 204mm Stearer sonds very nice, I need at least 190.

    Best, Helge

  • Hi Helge - as it happens I do still have the fork you mention. PM me if interested in purchasing.

  • really ... nice to hear... I happen to have a forkless '77 Super on the shelf :)

I can't see the linked pics, can u give me permission to the other pics that I can have a closer look?

    Helge

  • For PM we will have to wait 24h and some posts by me :)

  • The pics went long ago, this thread dates from May 2012, 2 years ago! Are you in London?

  • not really, at least same time zone ;) Berlin

  • I am searching since a few weeks for a '77 fork and got on urs by mistake on google pics ...
I already missed one on the 'bay last week, which was anyway a bit short with only 180mm tube. Due to it will be painted except of the crown the ding will not be too bad.
    best, Helge

  • My advice is to buy any fork of 70s you find, since they are rare as single (not a frameset).
Since you live in Berlin you are lucky because you can contract out the restoration of your Colnago to Mr Orlowski. He operates close to Szczecin in Poland. No problem for him to make fork steerer longer.

  • Thx, I 'll keep that Name in mind!

Last week I received a acceptable fork with 195mm steerer from Holland!

    so, my search-posting is obsolete!
