So I did my bars in red, white and blue double harlequin last night. Looks ok on the bends but a little shit around the levers. Navigating 4 rolls of tape is rather tricky.
And yes, double harlequin requires 4 rolls of tape, so boo to whoever thought 3, wrong. Will post some photos tomorrow. It is slightly jubilee themed in colour but be assured that was unplanned. It also looks utterly ridiculous.

readers wives bar tape but this is my first attempt at harlequin on my mavic bullhorns for my Concorde LoPro project:

Did it on an extreme hangover day which could have been a positive or a negative. i did get a migraine after about 20 mins of trying the get the first side started but that eased once I figured it out. Got to say that if you don't get the first couple of wraps absolutely spot on it will just get progressively more and more shit as you go... and then it's a fucking pain in the knob to remove and re-do. Still, i'm happy enough with it for now... although i might be swapping to some CInelli Angel bars with Aero extensions so if that's the case have 2 extra rolls of tape on hand and an ahead stem converter!

A little later than promised, here my attempt at fancy wrapping

The ergo bars make it look even more riddiculous. Think it went ok. It was my first experience with cloth tape, and I over stretched and deformed it a little in places. Also the back of the hoods could be tidier.
Echoing the previous post, the start can be a total ball ache. Managed to keep it tidyish.

repped for a great effort
cleaner hoods would make it better!

I'm going to go for dirtier tape.
Just noticed that it's not symmetrical. Might be ordering some more tape soon.

What tape did you use for this? Looks like it came out really well.

Just the standard velox stuff.
I could defintely do a lot better on the next go. It would also be a lot tidier on something simple like risers or track drops. Getting around the hoods and keeping the weave correct took about 6 goes. I went for just covering over everything in blue and restarting on the other side. Avoiding creases and getting the the red and white in the right place was hard, too hard actually, there are quite a few creases.
