Porto tourney 18th to 20th May, indoor court! There's still 3 slots so get in quick!
Euros spots are out:
we apologise for being silent for such a long time but here we present the slot allocation for European Hardcourt Bikepolo Championship 2018 in Pescara:
Our plan is to have a main event with 42 teams and a wildcard with 24 teams. Details will follow next week when Pescara publishes the event page!
For the slots we will stick to the system from last year of 11 regions that each get 2 main slots and 1 wildcard slots. Additional slots are added for top 12 results (main) and top 13-24 (wildcard).
The summary of the slot allocation is found here:
The full results of EHBC 2017 can be found here:
There are 3 extra slots for the host Pescara, the Champion Mongrels United, and the winner of Hell's Belles 2018. Last year the host Perpignan gave their slot to the winners of Hell's Belles. We like this idea and make it an official thing this year.
Iberia (ESP, POR): 2x Main, 2x Wildcard
France (FRA): 9x Main, 5x Wildcard
British Islands (GBR, IRE): 2x Main, 2x Wildcard
BeNeLux (BEL, NED, LUX): 2x Main, 2x Wildcard
Germany (GER): 4x Main, 2x Wildcard
Switzerland (SUI): 3x Main, 2x Wildcard
Italy (ITA): 3x Main, 2x Wildcard
Central East (AUT, CZE, SVK): 2x Main, 3x Wildcard
South East (CRO, HUN, SLO, ROM, TUR, SRB): 2x Main, 1x Wildcard
North East (POL, UKR, BLR, RUS): 3x Main, 1x Wildcard
North (LAT, LIT, FIN, NOR, SWE, DEN, RUS): 2x Main, 1x Wildcard
Host Pescara: 1x Main
Champion Mongrels United: 1x Main
Hell's Belles 2018 Winner: 1x Main
Main slots that are not taken will become available in the wildcard. Wildcard slots that are not taken will become open slots. Details on open registration will follow at the end of May when we have a better idea of more slots becoming available.
Like last year regions have to figure out their qualification. They can play a qualifier, or divide the slots as they wish. All the regional representatives from last year will be contacted after this post is published.

Here's your chance to vote on where and what format next year's Worlds should be.
The format vote is not compulsory BUT it'll be binding on the organisers, so yeah, get yourself heard!
