what kind of bike are they actually intended for?
-
• #3
They're intended for XC mountain bikes, but have the same rake and crown to axle measurements as CX forks.
They're about as light as a set of Easton EC90 CX forks! -

Here's a set of Trigon MC01 full carbon forks that I got for my MTB framed commuter, but unfortunately were too short for a frame geometry made for 4-5" travel forks and made it too twitchy.
They are made in the same molds as the Ritchey WCS Carbon Mountain forks that cost over £400, which are some of the lightest forks of this spec and apart from the decals are the same and have a good reputation.
The length and rake would be perfect clearance for a CX bike changing over to discs, with loads of room for UK mud!
Or alternatively a XC bike that IS designed for short travel forks (or no travel), where you want to lighten and tighten things up front for the ultimate whippet.
Has a Cane Creek S3 crown race installed.
Originally cost £130, only owned 2 weeks and ridden 2-3times, not a scratch on 'em.
Spec:
Headset = 1 1/8"
Axel to crown = 410mm
Rake = 48mm
Brakes = Disc only
Steerer = 195mm Carbon
Weight = 410gms (claimed) minus cut steerer!
Comes with steerer expansion nut for top cap (instead of star nut).
Now I need to sell them so I can afford something a bit longer! £75ono. Can meet at Clapham Junction or Waterloo stations if needs be.
