That’s going to be a ball ache to move !

Blimey, that could have been a lot worse!
I grew up round there and had no idea XM655 actually worked. It is reputed to be haunted, so maybe the ghosts kept the power on a bit longer for the lols.
That road is regularly on my rides when I'm home and it's not mega busy but it's not quiet enough that 38 tonnes of Vulcan flying through a hedge would be likely to end well.

I didn't think any of the Vulcans left had working engines. Is the Victor that almost took off still taxiing?

Clearly some itchy memorial ground crew...

The accidental Victor take off was my first thought too

It looks good there, much easier to see it from the road, maybe they should just leave it there ;)
Update from my Mum:
"Just think I could have been passing on the bus to Stratford at the time. That would have livened the journey up."

I used to go to the cafe there, it was a good stop on rides out of Cov.

Hope you were facing away from the sun so they didn't spot the glint off the lens.

Lens hidden with deep hood, should be safe…

Was that the one that came along down the Lea Valley/along the Thames and back today? Call sign CAFEAB (which is a funny one)?
-

I don’t think so, this one didn’t show up on Flightradar24 and appeared to be heading NE from RAF Benson towards MK.

Ah sorry forgot you're not in London! Pretty sure that's not the one.
Army stuff not showing up on Flight Radar does quite often show on ADS-B Exchange:

Yes, fled the big city in 2017, still heading back into town enough to remind me what fun it is. Even went to London’s trendy Hoxton this last weekend.
