  • That's amazing!

  • “We got that... foxed up.”

I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

  • I'd not noticed the state if my shoulder until they got me to take my top off in x-ray. Looks like I was lucky I didn't take out my shoulder too, the bruise is pretty good. They insisted on lots of pics to make sure. I discovered a small bruise on my head today from where my helmet hit the deck and scrapes on the helmet. Probably time to replace it and perhaps something to think about for those that don't use them.

I'm weighing up what to do. With this being the 3rd time I've done my scaphoid it's likely to take a fair while to heal up. I last broke it 1/8/10 and was only just back to short road rides by December. It was only really March last year that I was back to full form. So in the last 19 months I've spent 5 months off the bike with broken bits, that's before yesterdays efforts. Sorry to say it, but this might be the end of polo for me. I just can't afford risking more injury and with the best will in the world polo is more likely to hurt me than general riding.

I'll see how I'm feeling in a few days but the polo kit might well be getting sold.

  • sad to hear that Chris : (

  • Gives me more time for drinking and thinking of snarky comments to shout at drew ;-)

  • It's not the polo, you just need to do more rolls when you fall off. Footballers have got it nailed.

  • That's amazing!

have oyu not seen biker fox before? he's the weirdest man ever

i'm pretty sure i biker crashed once at polo early on,
when i went over the bars, and landed on my hands and flipped up?
no one remembers it? ok on my own.

I was a rugby player, prop forward at that. You should know we're all thick and just run into things as hard as we can. Grace and poise were never considerations..

Was going to say I've got your knee pads. I'm out for a couple of months so might make more sense if someone else borrowed them for a while. I'll vouch for their effectiveness from the other crash I had that game!

  • I used to play prop years ago, I kept getting kneed in the head. Could explain a thing or 2.

    boooooohoooohoohoohhoooohoooo!

Can someone buy it for me if it's worth ~£100?

This is when I realise I would actually benefit from your computer-phone things you ponces all have these decades.

  • finally got singlespeed frame for polo

  • Awesome!

  • only frame lots of things to find can you give me suggestions ?
    cheers

  • What frame is it?

  • Obviously you'll need the usual shit, like wheels and spokey dokes.

I have some grips you can have, and maybe some pedals. Also i have an old turbo saddle in white, yours for £10

  • ok chan i will get it

  • what do you already have? I'm sure between us we have stuff like stems, cranks, levers, seat posts etc..

  • I've got a stem for those bars, I just need to pick which one I prefer and you can buy the other. It'll probably be the DMR headstock for £10. Also got some v12 copy pedals. I have some cranks with a chainring that need bolts for an ISIS bottom bracket, I have a slightly broken ISIS bottom bracket (free). Got a saddle and seatpost off a fuji track, ain't long so will work if you don't need to put it up high. I can build you some wheels with cheap parts if you can find them. I've also got a cup of tea, but that's mine.

  • is anyone playing today? it's too warm not to...

  • I only have frame and front wheel need everything I can

  • and also have beers for your help LOL

  • Thursday polo:

    1. sal
  • No polo for me if Cambridge is happening. I'll need money in advance for the car off at least 2 of you. Is everyone OK with meeting at powerhouse at 1800? Can have a nice rush hour drive down.

Also can I borrow a rack? Ideally Neil's (pretty please) although Ste's will be wonderful too.
