  • Proper Leather Shoes.
    Watches.
    Fashion.

    Now pens.

I like to jot stuff down. And I like a nice pen.

I had this Lamy 2000 4 Colour number which I carried everywhere.

But it fell out in the snow from my back pocket yesterday riding home.

From my bic to your mont blanc, what do you write with?

  • Not flash, but ideal for correcting the mistakes of lesser mortals.

  • Wow a pen thread. Whatever will they think of next?

    Pilot G-1

  • im sure, its intended for children to learn to write with or something, but im a sucker for these

  • Guy at work uses a LiveScribe..
    Amazon.com: Livescribe 2GB Pulse Smartpen (APA-00002): Electronics

Be careful.. they can record audio.. great for post-meeting blackmail.

  • Any HB Pencil, BIC Cristal, Pentel N60 Chisel, Sharpie Black Classic... That's all.

  • .5mm pilot hi-tec C. Black. And currently awaiting delivery on one of these. http://cwandt.com/#pen-type-a

  • Love that! ^

  • Think that might be my replacement for my sadly missing Lamy.

I love the practicality of a 4-colour pen when I'm taking notes. It really helps sort things out in my mind when I come back to them and think the Bic 4-Colour is a classic so I was dead excited when I got the Lamy.

But then again... a ruler! Stainless steel!

  • For drawing, I love the Pentel Sign Pen

  • I like a sharp pencil for scribbling/ calculating shit at work.

had a spacepen, but I can't find it now

  • More drawing again but the Pilot Fineliner is a bit of a classic

i prefer working in pencil, feels quicker, looks neat. but our hand calcs go on file so we need to do them in pen.

tangentially related, i used to like writing in chalk on the greenish blackboards. nice sound, nice smooth feel.

this is a thread for real saddos

  • My brother got it for me for my 30th- it's the 100th anniversary Starwalker, with the Montblanc mountain made from a diamond:

  • I still feel guilty about losing my dad's Harlequin, used to take it to school... Someone stole it, it was gold... WAC...

I used to love my Titanium Space Pen, but I lent it to Corny and hillbilly at an LFGSS track day to fill in their track sheets... One of them lost it, they promised to replace it... Nothing... Cnuts!

It's been Bics ever since... Or Pilots...

where did you get that tiny cat

They look lovely, I backed it on kickstarter, so I got mine for $50, the wait is killing me tho, pledged about 5 months ago, and they're just rolling out the first batch now. Quite cool seeng the process along the way with different manufacturers and issues with getting something from prototype to product.

  • For writing a Lamy Safari

for drawing an Ohto Super Promecha
(actually for fiddling about and doodling during meetings)

  • Fond memories from when I was studying...

These days there's no lead in my pencil...

  • One thing I cannot tolerate is putting the lid on the end of my pen when writing. Throws the balance too much for me, it needs to be elsewhere. Also I love chewing on a pen.

  • writing (with the lid stuck on the end, usually, so I dont lose it)

and drawing, usually the faber castel hb, sometimes softer (the black things are bits of rubbers)

  • ...

    Innit bruv.

    I don't really write anymore.

I always like having one of these around though, for writing on things going in the freezer mostly:

  • Such as;

"Fred's head, decapitated mid-November. Stubborn resistance. Steam and serve with cous-cous. Best before 2014".

  • Fuck, I love pens/pencils... I've got draws and draws of lovely drawing pens/pencils that I never use anymore... Computers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Please, no one start up a sketchbook/notebook/diary thread...
