For Sale: Bianchi Roger- SS cross bike 57

Posted on
  • I'm selling my 57cm Bianchi Roger.
The bike was produced for one year, and one year only. Very rare bike. It's got a Easton Ultralite frame, carbon forks, and a sweet WTB disc specific wheel set.

It's an ideal SS cross racer, or an awesome training bike for winter weather.
I've ridden the bike almost daily so there are plenty signs of wear, but overall it's in good condition. Used, but not abused.

There's also a small ding on the top tube from a bang it took when being locked up. Only cosmetic though.
I can take pictures of anything specific you'd like to see, just ask.

    Frame: 57cm Easton Ultralite
Fork: Bianchi carbon, threadless alloy steerer, disc mount
    Headset: Tange Integrated 1-1/8" threadless
    Handlebar: Deda Elementi Piega
    Stem: Bianchi Componenti
    Brakes/Levers: Avid BB 7 Road / Cane Creek SCR-5
    Crankset: Sugino Alpina 2, 48T
    Bottom Bracket: Shimano, cartridge
(I'm keeping my saddle, so I'll throw the original back on. It's got a tear in the leather so you'll want to replace, or not)

£450 ono. Pickup in West London or arrange meet up.

    Thanks for taking a look.

  • Is this like a Corima Yentz?

Not if they made 10,000 of them it wouldn't be

  • How many did they sell?

  • Dumb question, but do you know if it is capable of being ridden fixed with that rear wheel?

  • That stem looks like it's made from wood.

  • Sorry, I am not familiar with the Corima Yentz.

As for the Roger, I amend my wording and change the description to "relatively rare bike that was only produced for one year by Bianchi."

In order to ride it fixed you'd need a flip/flop hub, so not with this rear wheel. But very doable.

The stem is not made from wood, rather aluminum. But, you're right, it's ugly. I replaced it with a new stem that I'm keeping, but would be inclined to sell if requested.

    Lolz.

Sorry fella wasn't trying to piss all over your sale... more free bumps

  • Dumb question, but do you know if it is capable of being ridden fixed with that rear wheel?

    Probably.

You take the rear disc off, add a bolt on cog and provided the chainline matches, you should be cool.
