2011-12-18 3pm - LFGSS focus group

So as many people know, I've quit my job and will be working to create a hosted community platform. Basically, I'm creating a new company to be able to make LFGSS better, and make it possible for others to create sites like LFGSS for stuff their interested in.

Part of this means that at some point in the future... perhaps 3 to 6 months time... LFGSS will move to this new platform (once it's built).

This means that LFGSS will have big changes happening to it, and before I make those changes I want to be sure that you guys are happy with it, and to give you the chance to let me know what you'd like to see.

Version 1 of the new thing will likely be less-functional than what we have today. A simplification, a cleaner interface. In other ways you'll get new functionality too... I'll show you some of that during the demo.

Anyhow... I'd like to have such a focus group (business speak for this kind of thing) as soon as possible... an evening next week or perhaps next Sunday.

The meeting will be held on Sunday 18th December at 3pm.

Location for this is 100 Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8AL. The entrance is the door to the right of Pret at the junction of Gray's Inn Road and Theobald's Road.

Bikes can be brought into the office, it's on the 2nd floor which is either a couple of flights of stairs or use 1 of the 2 lifts. Bikes can not be left in the reception area of the building.

Rough agenda:

30 minutes: Very high level direction and goal (investor deck preview), feel free to ask questions during this
10 minutes: Demo of the fundamentals
20 minutes: In-depth Q&A

You can ask questions below, but if they're general and need a big answer it would be better at the focus group.

Interesting to hear you left to work on this, will come along if I can. I'm still interested in getting involved if poss. Glad to see you're using an API-first approach (I still get notifications from the github repo!)

PS If you need some desk space for new business gimme a shout, I've a couple of friends that have just taken over the lease in their building.
