there must be cheaper alternatives. I bought a frame off Hilary Stone a year or so ago and he charged £11
Just looked up http://www.parcel2go.com/ who I used to use in a different life, and they quoted (I guessed weight/size as 15kg, 150x60x20cm) £22

I got a bike delivered through parcel force. Was about £35-45 with up to £500 compensation

Shiply.com is deffo worth a try. Men with vans who were going that way anyway bid on your job. You get an email offering say £60 then more and more till nobody wants to undercut the last guy. Like ebay in reverse.

parcel monkey are pretty cheap then interparcel not far behind them.

try Paisley freight, they were always good to me when I was buying large car parts. I got a bootlid from leeds to sussex for £35 IIRC.
