girls play netball FACT. there was a boys v girls netball game at the end of term and the boys always won.
one of the primary school teachers was mad about cricket and in their games lessons all they ever played was cricket.did we really run around in just our pants and vests in the hall? would that be allowed now?
I always wanted to play football in school, as I played at home with my brothers. Never got the opportunity until I trained with a ladies team late in my teens.
We used to run around in a vest and regulation knickers. Used to get guys watching us... Wouldn't be allowed now.

My dad had to pre-pay and wait many many years for that one:
It had red plastic seats. Going on holidays was like driving a mobile sauna.

that's it - the track for toy cars. We had miles of that with some of the supporting posts that you filled with water.
You're probably realising by now I spent more time playing with my brothers toys than I did with dolls.
Other things I remember...
The Lesney Matchbox Factory in Hackney and all their blue branded employee buses which would be on the roads after clocking off time.
and the legend that is Suzi Quatro

I was working in Warsaw around the time of Solidarnosc(sp?) and staying in the same hotel as Lech Walensca(sp again) and remember 2 out of 3 cars were those things. The rest were 2 stroke Trabants IIRC except for one Mercedes and that was owned by the high class hooker that used to hang around the various hotels / restaraunts we frequented.

Sound about right. Loads of 2 stroke Syrenas. All older cars beige or grey. Newer cars brown or olive.
