I picked this up the other day in an ongoing quest to get a cheap bike together, but it turned out to be too big

Not totally sure it is a Holdsworth but it was evidently at one point a decent frame with nice flat fork crown & lugs indicating it's probably 531
It also has quite close clearance with 700c wheels. Not a 27incher.

In any case it's 24" c-t (top tube)
    crappy paint
slightly squashed vertically on a bit of the top tube (can't see it being a problem)
    welded rear mech hanger
the stem appears stuck, but I haven't tried particularly hard, you just need to bang down on the expanding bolt to get it loose.

Here's a bit of kit that I'll throw in:
BB that needs new bearings at the least
Nice condition 130 bcd Shimano 600 cranks
Shimano MTB / touring clippless pedals
Quite nice vintage Universal '77 brake calipers, kool stops
    Weinmann levers
    Miche headset (needs attention)
    GB alloy stem
Nitto B123 alloy bars (scratched centre ferrule, otherwise still nice)
    Mountain LX rear mech

Rideable with attention tlc and some wheels! Pick up only N16

  • Dibs, pm sent

  • 2nd dibs for what it's worth

  • Nice for a beater!
Top tube looks like it may have had a dent and been squashed out with a set of tube mold things?

At £30 though, its like you buy the bars, and get everything else attached to them for free :D

  • ^ I think it was caused by over-tightening a clamp though you could be right!
