After spending 3.5 hours getting ready in the morning, what better way to unwind than to reflect on the day's key wins with your significant other?
Also, she likes tea. Because she's a British.

nah, I've posted this before but it deserves a repost, nothing beats this 'day in the life' article on Laid Hamilton
https://www.mrporter.com/journal/the-interview/what-it-takes-to-be-as-fit-as-mr-laird-hamilton/3667
We had a pretty intense day today. I had 10 men over, and first we heated up in the sauna so we got hot and sweaty. Then we did an isometric stance, where we kind of stood in a horse, which is kind of like a sumo stance with our arms out. And we were doing a breathing pattern, which was kind of evolving. As our fatigue level increased, we began to increase our breath in order to sustain the position. And then we incorporated ice within that. After about 10 minutes standing in the stance, one-by-one, each guy got into this tub that was full of ice, and stayed there for about two minutes. And then we went back around and went back through it again, meanwhile holding the stance, and moving our arms. And at times coming up out of the stance and recovering and then we went into breath-holds, and back into the stance again. And kind of fatigued our system. And then we ate some charcoal, just to try to help us with the detox that our body went through. That was today’s work.

^^ I work more than she fucking does. Not that she should work more. But a true eipc wtf. Also, I don't mediate (like a Buddhist!), but if I did, I doubt I'd be thinking about work while doing it.

When you're a salesman selling yourself is key. She's done a pretty good job of it imo.
Who wouldn't buy from someone you think has done more by 8.30am that day than you've done that month?
Although it did remind me of a GS Elevator "how to", where after a massive bender he recommended calling room service for a cooked breakfast with coffee, then only ordering fresh fruit and tea at breakfast with clients and bosses, whilst bitching about how shit the hotel gym was.
Sometimes you do you useful tipbits from those pieces. There was one young entrepreneur in NYC who listened to audiobooks at x1.5.

"I usually wake up at 6:30am, and start with some Kundalini meditation and a 23-minute breath set—along with a copper cup of silver needle and calendula tea—before my son Rohan wakes."
Words escape me.

Her name reminded me of Stewart Lee's Kofi Annan joke. Kofi having a habit of starting every day with a breakfast of a coffee and a naan because he could not escape the destiny of his name.

lunch is "a time to refuel"
Well yes, that is the definition. Also, bedtime is "a time to go to bed".

"At 9:30am, I drink 16 ounces of unsweetened, strong green juice, which is my alkalizer
I have recently discovered that many people believe that by drinking mildly acidic liquids (e.g. diluted lemon juice) for some reason described as 'alkaline' or 'alkalizers', they make their blood more alkaline.

PS I have been to some of the places she mentions. It's really like that, a Goop equivalent on every corner. Although it is entirely possible that the owners are taking the piss. And I should know, I was seriously considering a £58 quid neoprene mat in LuluLemon just now.

I know there's a lot to unpack in this, but I keep coming back to this bit because it jumped out at me from the page and I can't stop thinking about it:
At 8am, I had a warm, morning chi drink on my way to the school drop off, drunk in the car! It contains more than 25 grams of plant protein, thanks to... the super endocrine, brain, immunity, and libido- boosting powers of... cordyceps...
I wonder why there's nothing about any of that on the product page for cordyceps in her online shop?
-
• #8942
You mean this cordyceps?
More like this cordyceps .
It has obviously taken over her higher brain function and is talking for her...

I used to work with a girl who was into all that acidification shit. Also wouldn't drink cow milk because it "leaches calcium from your bones".
Deadpan serious, she told colleagues that if you said mean things to one glass of water and positive things to another, when frozen the 'negative ice' would form jagged uninform crystals whereas the 'positive ice' would create perfect beautiful crystals.
-
• #8947
You may say that jagged, non-uniform crystals are ugly, but that's just like, your opinion, man.

SQLITE's code of conduct goes all old school Christian...
"Open-source database SQLite has told its developers it expects them to follow Christ, love chastity, clothe the naked, and not murder, steal, nor sleep with their colleagues' spouses."Ehm...

There's a project I use which has a big christian blurb in it's license.
Because of God's grace, this project exists. If you don't like this, then don't read it, it's not for you.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. ."
