Given the other info know about the raid/arrest its quite likely that it was being waved at people in the hope nobody noticed it might as well be a paperweight. I think that threatening somebody with an imitation firearm is a pretty serious crime in the UK.

Even so, not exactly the bragging points that Bedfordshire Police were hoping to score.

Yeah, can see why the suspect wanted to hide it! You can do fairly serious bird for waving a fake gun around.

Category three is for when you just threaten to shoot somebody while in possession of a concealed imitation firearm!

I believe (based on hearsay) that you can even do serious time if you don't have anything at all, ie the imitation fireman is just your hand in your pocket or a plastic bag but you say it's a gun

There's an old (and proven) adage that "a pound on your feet is worth five in your backpack". The saying relates to the weight of your footwear, originates from 1950s Everest expeditions, and largely stands up to scientific scrutiny.

The idea of adding weight to my feet for the sake of it does not appeal. Maybe if you used them to only carry tissues or other lightweight items...
