Some beaut Looks!
I was after a KX Light or or 486 but picked up this old 565 in my size a while ago. Eventually 'll get around to finish stripping it and chucking my Campag Chorus 11 on it. Don't suppose anyone has a band on clamp for a campag front mech?

Not too sure about the rims, but it look like it is laces to some tricolour hubs:

Cool be good to see it, mine is pretty much done now. Campag Centaur 10sp in silver & silver ksyrium elite. I'll pop some pics up at some point, nothing too exciting. Looking forward to taking it for a proper ride.

belt - ha! Cool! Did you/can you just undo the drive side seatstay at the dropout? I'd not noticed that!

you could achieve roughly the same geo using a 7 degree stem flipped downwards and a handlebar that isn't tilted downwards like this, try leveling the upper section parallel to the ground. same goes for the saddle.
generally speaking, the hoods should not point downwards, try parallel/slightly upwards. this should result in a comfier riding position...

Rides great.
Ignore the haters. Flipped stems are a sound engineering choice and if you like the position there's no need to make the bike mechanically worse and ergonomically unchanged just to suit somebody else's idea of aesthetically better

0 degree stem, level bars and hoods with same hoods position as original setup.

And a radical change to the reach and angle on the hooks.

Are we looking at the same picture?
The front of the brifters is in the same plane:

The deepest part of the hood is actually higher this way, which will probably make it even more comfortable.
Furthermore, wouldn't you say level hoods are preferable to downward angled hoods?
Final disclaimer: I just made a picture. Not saying one is better than the other.

Hooks, not hoods
