At this last night Jonathon More dropped an LFO/Dubfire Spastik remix hybrid - was good. Not sure I've ever heard LFO out before but I have now, so that's nice. All that's left to achieve is global infamy.

Some heavy analogue acid techno. Playing on Sat too in case anyone needs an excuse to get out.

yes. and everything else. been to two. in both cases they got all but one thing wrong. most of all the crowd, imagine the worst saturday fabric crowd ever and then imagine worse: 80% spanish and italian wearing plastic shades and dancing like cunts.
Why ? I have been quite tempted by a couple but not had the chance yet. Bad Vibe ?

Good to know, sounds like hell.
I've been quite tempted to go to Eastern Electrics this year but not sure what sort of crowd it will be.

i have a spare ticket to the Samuel Kerridge Live gig at Plastic People tonight if anyone wants it. My mate didn't realise how late it was and cried off as it's a school night.
Live set between 11:30 and 12:30 the DJ from then on. 'll probably get there about 11. Don't need company just thought i'd stop the ticket going to waste.
PM me if interested.

Yeah I excitedly bought tickets to the Mills / Hood / Ruskin / Regis night when they released the first lineups, then realised I was going to be out the country at the time. FML.
Will probably go to the Demdike Stare / Andy Stott night as they're both great live and the venue is pretty decent, the rest I can take or leave.

These days my nights out are very much decided by my mood at the time, so not sure ill be rushing out to buy tickets.
Saying that though, most of the label nights look pretty awesome to me, I do love Kompakt (even though they seem to be rather unfashionable among some of the srs bsns techno heads) and the R&S, Border Community, Sheworks, Modern Love/Mutek and the Ninja Tune are all looking pretty strong to me.

Some good stuff in there. Great to see Sunil Sharpe on the sheworks list. I'll be at a few of these.

It's very rare I've ever bought a ticket for anything other than a gig, by which I don't mean club night/festival. I want to turn up somewhere that's caught my eye and have that be as detailed as attending gets, other than handing over some cash and saying 'hello/cheers/thanks' to a door-whore and the same to a cloakroom attendant.
I do not want for any of this to happen via internet banking. I do not want to remember passwords to have a good time. Any spirit of dancing is lost when forward planning is involved - leave that to the promoters, as it's their job. Mine is to vote with my feet/wallet, and to keep things simple. Fuck tickets. I'd much rather go to the kind of night prole posted above than spend weeks/months in hopeful anticipation a fortune spent on one turns out to be money well spent, so these same promoters can recoup the huge sums they've poured into things superflous to music and dancing (all that interests me), such as hysterical promotion/'exclusive' DJ appearances/trendy venues/obscene perks for said DJs and their lackeys, etc. All that's just marketing with a ticket its currency.
I will happily queue for a night I fancy, when it strikes, hopefully alongside punters loyal to a venue/DJ - never had an interest in guest-list or any of that. I enjoy putting my money in tills that hopefully appreciate it. The remoteness of tickets do not mix with the supposed inclusiveness of getting down in a room somewhere.

Totally agree. In this case though I was quick enough to get an early bird ticket. Fiver a pop for that lineup is silly.

I'm also in total agreement, and it is almost certainly a side effect on the London scene which has got worse in recent years, but then I also see nothing wrong with wanting to support labels and see artists that produce and release music you love, and unfortunately in a city like London, sometimes that takes some planning.
I see both sides of the coin, I don't necessarily think you can or should make a value judgement between them though. 'bout the music innit.
