Yep. Go clipless, it's much better in all ways...this is one of them.

I plan on doing just this, glad to hear it lessens the problem.

wow. Although I think I'm the other way only 6'2/3 with size 13, but from reading I'll probably have to size up, so that would make me 47/48? :S so probably a similar situation to Jammy.
