I'm looking at building up a wheelset for a Dutch bike : anybody have any experience of building wheels with rims of this type (28 x 1.5", 635mm ERD) ?
Compared with regular clincher rims they seemed frighteningly insubstantial when I hefted in them in the shop, with no eyelets and a generally fragile air about them that made me think twice about building them myself, despite some wheelbuilding experience with 700c clincher and tubular rims on various hubs (a dozen or so pairs in all)...
If the consensus is against a DIY build, anybody have any experience of any reputable, UK- or web-based sources for this type of wheel ?
