We’ve finally received our order from Roda for a new outdoor venue we’re building at work.
a little more commercial are vestre. I perpetually want something from Skagerak.
Anyone got a loaf sofa ? Or sofa bed?
At this point slightly given up hope of finding a nice, comfy, double SB for sub £5k
Not a sofa but I have a Loaf table. We got it cheap from a business that sold on stuff that was used for sets but, quality-wise, I think it would have been significantly overpriced at full price.
I just gave up entirely when I was looking at sofa beds and got a considerably cheaper sofa and one of those big blow-up beds that go to the height of a normal bed.
just dropping by to say that Gazzda https://gazzda.com/ have some lovely stuff, we've two sideboards and a dining table from them (through Olson Baker, who are lovely).
Hmmm maybe I need to investigate the inflatable mattress option further
We used a v posh airbed this week. Guests suitably impressed. Will see what it is.
Don't have one personally but have been recommended Aerobed multiple times by different people, so I reckon they're probably quite good.
We've used this for the last three Christmases and everyone has complimented on how comfy it was.
Sometimes this actually is the friendliest forum on the world - thanks gang!
Don’t get a loaf sofa
Anyone with ideas on an alternative to this?
I want the rising bit so the gaming child can use his keyboard and mouse, then we can pop it all away for tidiness and for putting massive architecture books on to look cool to grown up visitors.
I guess I’d ideally like something OG hardwood but I don’t suppose such things were around back in the day. Were they?
Why do you say this? I went to their showroom recently, and they seem very nice if a bit pricy.
These days you have to spend megabucks to get solid wood, let alone hard wood!
Yes they were, 'Trioh Metamorphic' or just 'metamorphic danish table’ and google is your friend.
That’s the perfect intel. Thanks!
Already looking like a proper shit start to the week.
Just noticed that our oil Air freshener with sticks in it has leaked /spilt onto the top of our lovely tall boy.
What can I do to fix it?
No idea how long it's been like that for.
My OH is going to be devastated.
Any advice much appreciated.
Buy yourself some time with a nice tray or a small table cloth to cover it.
Is it solid or veneered wood? If it's solid, you could sand the whole top section down and re-treat it. In case you can't get a good match, maybe stain it darker to make it look considered?
I found a guide that suggests thinners, but want to hold off on that. It also suggested some sort of powdered clay stuff that should arrive tomorrow.
So far kitchen towelling and careful use of fairy has improved things. But it's a reminder of why it's not worth owning any nice things whe you have children.
Just gutted I didn't see it when it happened, or even last night.
That's looks like a great save tbh, I'd be happy with that. But then we've adapted our household to "nice but worn" so we don't have to worry about stuff like these

Is there a risk that thinners could damage the veneer bonding? It is pretty aggressive stuff.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
