For Sale: classic superlight frame and modern commuter bike

first up a vitus made from 980 super vitus tubing, apparently the lightest classic tubing there is, lighter than 753. the frame is a 55 but measures more like 56 ctc square.
the paint is far from perfect and has flaked off in places on the outside showing some rust. its nothing structural however as for example the bb shel on the inside and the fork shaft are completely rust free. so i suspect there was something wrong with the primer in some places.

frame weighs in at 1830 grams and forks are 660 grams. english bb, tange dropouts. lugs have cutouts in the shape of hearts so it might be a de rosa (yes that's a joke)

i was going to built it as a period light bike but got sorted with a lovely barry chick frame to complete my collection (cheers again jamie). so this one can be passed on

id like 90 fine english squid please**. i can supply some period 80's sauperlight bits as well if you want to go down the same road.

next up a 2007 cube shingle shpeed commuter, adjustable suntour forks with lock out button on the bars (works fast and reliable). frame is tripple butted 7005 alloy, 56 ctc st (62ctt) 61 ctc top tube. ritchey headset, stem and bars. deore v brake levers and shimano v brakes. schwalbe tyres.

rides very nicely, everything works really well, fast and quiet ride. brakepads are on the way out put i can chuck some extra ones in. mudguards are detacheable.

Ha! I was reading this thinking I've picked up one of those vitus frames recently and they are light. Then saw my name, I am the Jamie!

I had this frame in my hands yesterday. It's a cracker! If you are looking for something like this then SNAP IT UP. That's a really good price and a sexy frame. If I hadn't already got a new frame you wouldn't even have the chance.

i agree, check out pedals' diamond, insane price perfect condition i have seen the groupset go for more than he wants for the whole bike, and 531p frames are not cheap either.
