  • Pffft, this was on Q1, you can protest your innocence all you like. :)

  • Flipping cold out in Essex this morning...think I need a burner with a crotch extension!

  • "Bloody cyclists riding on the road when there's a perfectly good cycle lane for them to use!!!"

(Credit to Bristol folk for the pic and quote)

  • First day back on foldy since October. Snapped chain (probably only bit not replaced yesterday- like Trigger’s broom...) on way to station. Went back to get other bike. Let on train anyway after bod gave me a ticking off for non-folder. Bit foggy, but nice morning otherwise. Ho hum...

Edit: Showers out of order. Bugger.

  • Ha. You can see from that picture that that cycle path is one of the shittest in Bristol, if not the worst - littered with trees and signposts every 50 yards.

  • I've finally got off my arse and started cycling rather than driving the 70km round trip to work near Redhill. Really enjoying it so far, spending an hour and a half on the bike each way beats sitting in traffic for an hour. It takes me about half an hour to get out of London and then it's an an hour or so of mostly nice quiet lanes like the one below. There's plenty of options to vary the route as well. Only downside is dealing with angsty men in ven hurtling past on blind bends.

  • Having been overtaken by speeding men in ven on a blind corner I really empathise. They did it right as another driver was casually making their way round said corner - cue screeching brakes swerving and my friend riding straight into the ditch to avoid getting knocked over. Once they realised no one had died they drove off.

You gotta paste it into the browser, for some reason lfgss.com gets confused

  • So many cyclers out, lovely to see.
Hello'd a man on a yellow tandem with small person stoking.
Helped rescue a dog call Alice who had slipped a lead from road scares.
    Bluebells are out.
    Lambs likewise.
    Sunshine.

  • The bit over Euston underpass is shut east-west. Oh well. Weeeeeeeee.......

  • It was chilly this morning, no? Must have been a degree above 0, more or less. NE wind was biting as well....
...but clearly NOT COLD ENOUGH for the group of SWIMMERS - in beachwear, not wetsuits - splashing into the Thames at 7am in Wallingford. Mind boggling.

  • Quite surprised to see the sheer number of mopeds parked up on the pavement today in camberwell.

  • McDonald's appears to be doing a roaring delivery trade, it's like that outside all of them.

  • 3 years ago this thread had about a dozen posts a day.

  • Plague'll do that.
