Did you pay via paypal? If so do a claimback and tell him if he wants the frame to pay the postage. I have done this succesfully before on a cracked pair of cranks.
The protection is there for you. If he has misrepresented the frame it's not your fault.

This Chris.
He's fucked up, ebay and paypal are always on the buyers side. You may have just got yourself a free frame..

if the frame was bend and not the correct tube set then inform him that you will start official ebay action. see number 3. You sould not pay for shipping for something that is damaged. you should also get your money back, ebay keeps some though. you have 45 days to do start the claim. If you want a full refund you will have to pay for the shipping back.

You could overturn the transcation within a period of time as a buyer. I was once scammed by a dodgy buyer who cloned someone's account on ebay and paypal. I did everything by the rule and but when I wanted to transfer my money to my bank account, it was overturn because according to paypal, I was part of the scam??

Hey peeps.
I was wondering if you could help me with some advise.
i bought a frame of some french dealer for 73 dorrar.
shipping was another $75 (i suspect he ripped me off but i really wanted the frame).
the frame arrived and was not as described (not columbus, bent, a bit rusty inside), which i told him, and i proposed that if he refunds me some dough to get it straighened at a bikeshop i'd be happy.
he replied i should send it back which is about £83 insured and tracked (not willing to ship any other way- plus cant be bothered to hunt cheaper options)
to which he replied it is fine.
i can't help myself but think that this is dodgy. the frame and shipping was $148 and shpping it back is $132...that doesn't make any sense But my basic law i had to do in uni tells me if i have it in writing it should be fine.
now the big question: did any of you have any experience with something, will i get my money etc.
cheers
