What and stick 2 together?
The samba goals would be the right size wouldn't they?
-
• #205
I found these goals, it's not cheap for 4 but they are almost exactly the right size (give or take 10cm).

Are we building them or what!?

I've emailed Mitre to see if they can help us out with those goals, fingers crossed eh!?

I don't trust the post on the back of a bank holiday backlog and have shelled out at Argos for some suitable goals. I have two of the four and the other two are reserved at the Argos in Hollingdean which I will pick up after work tomorrow.
Please don't ask how much it has cost!

That ended up being more expensive.
Anyway, It's sorted now.

Keep an eye out for netting. The stuff supplied has holes too big for a polo ball.

Good call, Tim. Hopefully they'll last well beyond the tourney and it'll prove to be money well spent.
Danny, have you had a chance to talk to infinity foods yet? We need to buy on Friday innit. I'll sort all the BBQ expenses out until the account can pay me back.
Wood. What the f**k is happening? If we need to buy more we need to get our shit sorted!
Also, has anyone seen or heard anything from my team? Are they still alive?

If everything else goes to budget you have just over £100 for food on the day.

'k.

Yeah, whats the score with wood, if Josh doesn't have enough, then there are plenty of skips to plunder around town, wood nabbing is a speciality of mine!
Gonna ring the brewery tomorrow, and the bin should be ready to be picked up on Friday, I could go get it on the train probs.

Skip raiding sounds good.

Yo i spoke to Infinity, they said a bulk order shouldn't be a problem but i needed the cash monies to make the order. Might be cutting it a bit fine ordering now and 100 pound isnt going to cover the amount of people we planned to feed, bearing in mind rolls and condiments etc. With a budget of 100 pound for food i think we could buy the day before without ordering. In other food related news, we might be getting a vegan cake stall.
I'm assuming we're all playing Wednesday? Would be good to have a chat about where everything is at after polo!
Tim, did you buy 4 of these?

Kaos, I'm sure Joshiboy will be around. T Bird is a free-wheeling (or should that be fixed-wheeling?) son of a gun so there's no telling what he's up to!

The plan is to sell two of them off again after the tournament. I might have to fail to mention the sawing I will have done to them.

Beer ordered. Went for the one that can be drunk straight away, rather than the one that needs 24hours to stand and let sediment settle. Cool?

Vegan cakes!? WTF?? I think you're right about the buying though, Danny. Chat Wednesday and hatch a plan innit. Have you got time to sort if I give you the cash?
Goal selling. Is that going to be necessary? Would it not be worth holding onto them for future events? I can store here, no problem.
Beer. Cool.
How are we doing with the prizes? Do we still need more? I've been speaking to Brick Lane Bikes this morning re buying a set of wheels. Mentioned the tourney and prizes/sponsorship. Waiting to hear back. Good?

You're right Chris, It'd be good to keep them. I'm just spazzing out about money.
I think it would be preferable to spend more on food to make the barbecue half decent and then ask for donations if we do run over budget. What d'you reckon?

It's only money, Tim, and registration's going to cover most of it.
Donations. Did we talk about this before? I think people really won't mind bunging their loose change into a bucket if the weather's kind and we make sure they all have a good day. Would be awesome to have the account still in the black after the event.
Not sure how much cash I'm going to have spare above a hundred quid though. How quickly can you reimburse me?

We're having to take cash on the day, so Saturday!

I'm with Chris, no-selly-de-goals, that is if we can afford to.

Also, what are we doing about the wood for the cladding? Are we buying anything in or do we have enough already? A mate of mine just called to say the cheapest boards would be O.S.B which is the stuff they put around the outside of building sites and so on.
