If you were to get Skully's kitten, this could be you:

It causes male pattern baldness?
You're not selling it well, Mark.

• #208
I had no facial hair before getting the cat. I think it's curing me.

Hi
Superjoe is out.
flickwg might take him, and I have a possible taker who's local (preferable for logistical reasons)...
But your interest is gratefully recieved, I'll be in touch shortly.

Skully- I'm just round the corner, could take him for 48 hours if that would help double check?
I have cat infrastructure, it would be no bother.

Dammit
That's really very kind of you. I will take you up on that possibly, will PM if a solution like that is required.

As I said, it's no bother, I can pick him up later if you want.

Uncle Skulls - There are some breeds of cat that are allergy friendly and don't cause as much of a reaction.
Still causes some reaction, though.

I think he looks a bit sad. A sort of forever alone tiger.

If I wasn't in Birmingham.... :(

Skully said he'd deliver
-
• #219
Ha. I said I'd deliver except anywhere with more canals than Venice. Duh. Check the O P.

If I wasn't in Birmingham life would have some colour, some meaning. As it is every day is a dread march through the slough of despond, the misery, the utter misery, of Birmingham.
Come on, it's not that bad- Lynx might come home to visit?

Woah there sonny jim, don't put words in my mouth...
If I wasn't in Birmingham, I wouldn't spend my days running a rad bike project/teaching young kids to ride/genuinely making changes in a city that is so car driven it makes me sick and I'd drown in the murky mess of misery that London was when I left trying to compete with massive bike projects!
A kitten would make it more bearable though...

Thx Horatio.
I've just got back from the GP. He's advising a cautious approach, having a trial where the cat goes for a week or two, then returns, to be sure he's causing the problem.
But we're convinced of the connexion. He was sneezing the very moment we met the cat, and I've been in denial about it. We don't want him around after a night like last night. Basically this has precipitated asthma in my lad. And we don't wnat to get more attached to him than we are.
See. We're adamant.
I've been wanting a cat since Cassius died when our kid was 6 months old. I'm really pissed off.
cisco's got allergy to some kids of cats too. not all of them which is weird. he goes all red and itchy

Car-driven. What an ironic turn of phrase! Or is a paradox? Probably neither. But I like it. I agree B'ham seems really dominated by motor vehicles, like most built-up UK.
Your 'rad' bike project sounds good MotherGirl, respect due.

haha, I didn't realise that's how I said. Blowing our own trumpet. I think working with bikes all day is rad is what I meant.
