  • Blah Blah Blah, yes its a rapha event. Anybody want to ride? I believe the concept is mimic the Paris Roubix so the ride will include Pavé sections on bridalways. Sound like a lot of fun to me. Is this the first outing of the fabled ECC Audaxers?

  • That looks like Hell

  • I thought this was going to be about Liverpool.

  • Rapha + Free = Impossible
    Rapha + Cheap = Impossible

    This really doesn't add up

  • Who cares? Its a bike ride.

  • Should do it in my Tørm Jersey...

  • could be talked into it. Are you just interested because of the pretty pink picture?

  • just another rapha bummer

  • Yes the pink background and smooth sales pitch lured me in. Moreover its essentially a free sportive with some fun sections roped in.

  • FREE entry
START | Pond Square, Highgate N6, 9am GMT
END | Black Horse Pub, Wood St EN5, 1pm GMT onwards
    20 sectors of gravé.

  • could be up for this. are you thinking of doing this fixed?

  • Not fussed, what would you rather ride?

  • Thinking about doing this as well - on an Aluminium road bike with 28mm tyres

    I've signed up, anyone else?

  • Yup

  • What bikes are people riding?

  • Probably a roadbike with 23c.... fuck it

  • fuck it. why not?

MAMILs aside, sure it'll be well organised and a fun ride.

Will be riding the crabon i think... north be quite flat so maybe the Mercian for fewer geared retro chique.

  • I'd love to do it, but...

I don't think I can wake up that early and be hangover free on the day of my birthday, day after the Tweed Run and straight after Blue Quinn's wedding.

  • Says registration closed. Thought no registration required. Plan to turn up anyway (it ain't the tweed run) and will be riding fixed 64 gear inches

  • Well, sorry to disappoint any Cambridge-ites who wanted to ride but the first Eastern MTB race of the season is on the same date so I won't be attending the rapha ride.

  • Got a place - seeing as it's after the tweed run I may have to wear the outfit from the day before!!

Did you guys do it last year?
I was speaking to George of Bikepusher fame last week about it. He said that some of the route is really really rough and it was more suited to a cyclo-x bike.

I'm provisionally on the ride and debating whether to leave the carbon at home.

  • Marco

    looks like 23c fixed terrain:

I'll be on the crosser but with hybrid tyres (Land Cruisers).

  • I haz 23c fixed... I might well be using it.

Cheers Chris, have you decided whether you are doing this or the London Classic?
