A rebrand would be the astute thing to do but if you can get away with branding this site more inclusively and keep the same initials I'd do that.
Or leave it as it is. This isn't a business. Still think that making it more obviously geared (no pun intended) for geared riders would boost memberships a little.
Don't thnk there are enough spanners on here?? It's become less personal IMO and more spintered, so I have no interest in changing things if it is just to bring new fa(e)ces.
FFS UTFS to see there are geared riders. Anyone with such a deep hate of fixed can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> -

LFGSS doesnt seem to put gearies and non-londoners off. Not niche enough.

LFGSS will need to face up to the fact that it is growing and quickly and will need to think fast to handle the expansion. Its quite common for tight community sites to reach a critical mass and end up losing the family feel. This need not happen unless costs get high, the owner's circumstances change etc thus forcing the site to seek income from elsewhere.
Also, as memberships increase so will costs.
Hotmail used to be a small community email system before Microsoft bought them out. I understand that the primary shareholder had a third baby and couldn't fund the outgoings anymore. Look at it now.
Stay as we are or safeguard the future of the site. I don't know the owner personally but more often that not that is a decision that rears its ugly head eventually.

Defer all you want, if it's not broke (subjective) don't fix it.

LFGSS is a rare gem. It isn't broke and doesn't need fixing.
We'd all hate it if anything on this site changed.
But sometimes you need to plan for the future and anticipate what may break and need fixing.
