Actually they're not. Lots of ABC1's buy Nurofen. They're just influenced by effective marketing, which is really what we're talking about. Nurofen is a fantastic example of what marketing folk call the 'product surround'. I.e. the product is the same, but the marketing around it is far from the same. Therefore many perfectly intelligent people choose the more expensive, but identical option.

Christ Almighty! Is no one allowed an opinion on here? I'm not saying I agree with anyone at all but surely a forum is a place for people to air their views and discuss, not get banned for saying things some people don't agree with? Whatever happened to freedom of speech? It's not like Redrum is advocating raping and killing, he's just saying he thought the idea sounded pants!

I thought redrum's first point was fair enough. A little blunt, but we all have different communication styles. The defensive reply was as much to blame for turning the whole thing into pantomime.

2. Tash, interesting idea, I don't really see what it's doing in the ladies forum, but I'm happy to leave it here if you can explain it to me.

3. Redrum, you're a very good friend and an old mate, but you aren't coming across here very well. Might be a good moment for you and the missus to make a graceful step down, I'm not sure how anyone can make amends for hurt feelings at this point. I am open to suggestions via PM only, though.
