Mmmmmm 11mph headwind.
11 at Reading, 10 by Devizes, 9 by Bath...
So it'll get easier the more we ride!
it looks like i am going to have to bail on this :-( family commitments. i am gonna try and get a 100 mile loop in instead starting early early...
The headwind is only gonna be hard if you're at the front, which I'm assuming we will take turns at. HTFU guys and if applicable tell your housemate to do the same!
hah. Housemate is fresh out of htfu.
Off to Brighton to see a new-born. Pffft. How inconsiderate.
Enjoy the ride.
I'm working on a roof. If this wind keeps up I reckon we could do bristol-london in five hours. London-bristol will be ten hours. It will be up tailwind up brassknocker though.
Out - have lurg'... 3 miles to work left me in an exhausted cold sweat. 3 miles home was worse. Have a great great ride...
In...first forum ride looking forward to meeting you guys.
Roight, hope to see some of you tomorrow. I'll be at Waterloo shortly before 8am and hanging around Farnborough Main for a while looking for some cycle action. I'll ping my phone number around later to those on the list so you can call me when you're drunk and lonely.
gutted i won't be riding with you, sam. i might still call you when i am drunk and lonely later if thats ok.
I so wish I had time to come tomorrow, Sam. Have a wicked ride!
Yes, have great ride Braker and co. Advance chapeau bas!
If it is flat just put Velocio at the front. He is strong but fast on the flat, he just needs someone with the Rapha rope to pull him up the hills. You may find he pushes the pace a little as his flat rolling speed is over 20mph.
Seriously, just let him do lead out all day.
Really looking forward to the ride. Not looking forward to the 06.30 train journey tomorrow morning.
Might bring out the gears this time?
Who's riding what? Fixed or Gears?
70" fixed for me.
66" Fixed. The geared bike is still in hibernation!
Looking forward to it. Unless it's really windy, will be on 75" fixed.
Fixed...no idea of ratio though!
I'll be geared, not put enough miles on that bike since getting it over christmas.
Out. Enjoy the ride.
After nancying around about the speed and the wind and acting charlie big potatoes that I was going to give it a go anyway, I've got the lurgy complete with fever. Sorry all, can't wait to join the 100 club for a spin soon.
Too lazy to PM. Here's my No.
0 triple seven nine 71 zero 2 double seven
I'm in and on gears. See you lot at 8am!
