  • Gotta check my calendar, may be working late till 8pm on a mon

  • I'm still waiting to get paid (overdue invoices grrrrrr) :(

  • Well, put the days you do know about into the doodle. Makes it more clear which days are uncomplicated for the largest number and is the whole point

  • Don't be put off by the URL--vote for London's best vegetarian restaurant:

  • Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun.

  • ^ Not there love.

    So many!

  • ^ But not Sagar? I'm surprised.

Can we go to A Taste of Heaven, Tulse Hill next?

    Menu looks goooood.

  • Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun.

I'm going to be impatient and a little ill-tempered about this. Sign up or don't complain if you aren't included. Ignoring the doodle or pissing about for ages while most of the best opportunities slip by is just inconsiderate.

We've had ages between nosh-ups, it takes an age each time to agree them and even then the meal itself can be spoiled by twattery regarding the final bill. Let's try and improve on that.

Now, the two best dates so far, according to Doodle, are this coming Monday or Sunday the 20th. Monday is looking very possible. If anybody wants to come, hasn't yet added themselves to the Doodle and doesn't like Monday, NOW is the time to add your self in and tip the balance.

There will be future nosh-ups, so it isn't a tragedy if you miss any individual event. It will be much more likely that there are many future meals to choose from if people show a little more life (and consideration) and less inertia.

  • Only just notice this doodle, thought it was some kind of restaurant review.

  • Did you know about Scooble.com?

    http://scooble.com/

  • Never you mind Olly.

  • I messed up the Doodle thing because I didn't realise the concertina things opened it up wider, I thought they were to show breaks between days...it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of the plan, but I'm available a lot more than I put down.

  • ooliver.com redirects to quite a strange inactive front page which seems to be Austrian:

    http://ooliveronline.zweipage.de/

This seems to be parked for this:

    http://perchtengruppe.dreipage.de/

Goodness knows what sort of bizarre Christian/pagan ritual that is.

Well, well, the stuff you find.

  • Toom.com and brooce.com seem to be parked, too.

And I just found the 'edit' option.

  • I'm closing the Doodle tonight and post the date which is best for most.

    Cheers,

    Alex

  • We've had ages between nosh-ups, it takes an age each time to agree them and even then the meal itself can be spoiled by twattery regarding the final bill. Let's try and improve on that.

When I went out with a group to eat, we often have seperate bill for each table (says, one for a 4 person table, one for a two person, etc. ), this way it's much easier to narrow down the bill and quicker too.

  • Just bring loads of change.

  • Might be able to make this, depending which date - will check with Aroogah, he's got a hankering for Mexican food at the moment. Can't guarantee he'll stick with the veggie/vegan menu though.

I call not sitting beside him then!

  • Can't guarantee he'll stick with the veggie/vegan menu though.

It would be great to have Chris along, but why get his better other half to 'guarantee' this for him? :) I think I can speak for all when I say that it would be hugely appreciated if he sampled the veggie menu on this occasion. I'm not very uptight about that sort of thing, but the theme of the evening is 'veggie/vegan nosh-up', and it would slightly defeat the purpose?

  • The wise words of Oliver ring true once again. Don't think meat would be very fair on the other attendees. Or fair to the person eating the animal, veggie/vegan should be sampled!

  • ^ this, and ^^ this

Chris must come along too though!

    Closing the poll shortly.

  • Flippin' 'eck. Chill chaps. He eats veggie every day with me by choice, he can eat what he likes.
