  • James, if you have a bath at home - use it.

Glad to hear you're alright and even more glad to hear that the driver might be getting it right in the arse.

    You're talking about onions, right?

  • So you have been forced to turn left. So you are on the LHS of the Rover? He gets out from the other side of the car, walks around and just punches you, before you can get away?

  • after several violent experiences of this type, i have taken to being unfailing polite to the fucking muppets. it does reduce the bruising, time at the police station etc. and you still get to make your point...

  • Very glad he wasn't tooled up and you are still relatively intact

    As am I.

Some years ago a young chap, a friend of a colleague and whose parents my mother knew, was walking on a pavement with his girlfriend. A car mounted the pavement and hit him on the leg. It did not harm him but was enough to knock him down. He picked himself up and ran after the car which had stopped at a red light. He remonstrated. The driver's girlfriend reached into the glove box and passed its contents to the driver who got out of the car and stabbed the protesting pedestrian. He died in his girlfriend's arms. The assailant drove off. That young man was in the right. Dead right.

I don't want to see anything like that to happen to you James. I care about you. I am concerned about the number of altercations that you get yourself into. I am genuinely worried for you. Please, for your sake and the sake of those who care about you, calm down.

  • I bet you got a raging hard on when he punched you, no?

  • Glad you're okay btw.

  • One word.

    Total Cunt

    ;)

  • But to be fair if you read the OP James said that he had no option but to take the left turn. This would suggest the driver left the turn very late.

We all try to ride defensively but sometimes motorists drive like such cunts there's not much you can do.

Glad you're ok James - if your back is starting to hurt you might want to get that checked out, just in case. Do try to take it all the way to prosecution.

A lorry did the same to me this morning. I anticipated his turn and stopped. I then cycled on my way. I was not punched.

  • Do try to take it all the way to prosecution.

Once you have considered the fact that you probably committed an assault with your opening "fuck off" etc gambit, and he will no doubt plead provocation/self defence.

  • James: I hope you feel better soon and that the driver is prosecuted for his inexcusable violence.

  • you probably deserved it, to be fair.

You, on the other hand, can just fuck off you miserable little shit.

  • You, on the other hand, can just fuck off you miserable little shit.

    Oh dear oh dear.

  • James, if you have a bath at home - use it.

    What? is this the 30's?

James, I'm glad you're well. You are right but then so are the others. This could easily have happened to others here, who would also have said something from the sheer shock of being forced into making the turn. We all just pray/hope that we don't meet these psychopaths on our journeys.

I'm sure this wouldn't be a big thing if only the useless fucks in charge/law makers/MPs realised that driving should be a privilege and not a right. What ever rock this waste of space, cretin crawled out from, he should never be allowed to drive again or at least be banned for 10 years.

  • Once you have considered the fact that you probably committed an assault with your opening "fuck off" etc gambit, and he will no doubt plead provocation/self defence.

"self defence"??? by jumping out of the vehicle? Whatever, mate.

  • 2 sides to every story.

  • sigh another look-at-me thread from dancing_james

you probably deserved it, to be fair.

You utter cunt, just fuck the fuck off.

James's encounters with road rage (his own and that of others) has brought entertainment and considerable hilarity to to the forum.

You, on the other hand, are a dull, uninteresting and vacuous cunt-bubble of the first water.

I know you won't mind me saying this...

  • "self defence"??? by jumping out of the vehicle? Whatever, mate.

I have no idea what happened. But I have read an awful lot of statements from people which actually bear only a nodding resemblance to the facts. I have never met DJ, but if he's, in real life, anything like he is on here - and from the posts above it seems that he may be - I would not be staggered if there was a deal more to this than meets the eye; he is often bombastic, rude, aggressive and ignorant. Of course, I could be wrong, and in any event, the violence is inexcusable, but then again, I may not be.

But the facts are that even the rookiest Counsel is going to make life in the witness box rather uncomfortable for Mr James, give that he's admitted swearing at the driver:

The Public Order Act 1986 s.4 states:

    1) A person is guilty of an offence if he -

    a) uses towards another person threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or
    b) distributes or displays to another person any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting,

Seems to be he's already coughed to that.

If you want a fight - be it in the street or in Court, just be aware that you are likely to get one. Drumming up support by preaching to the choir on here is a very long way from taking this all the way to Court. Go for it by all means, but don't expect plain sailing. Get a judge who's been cut up be a cyclist (they are mostly old, and hang around London - what are the odds?) or has seen them jumping reds etc (ditto), and you may not be overwhelmed by sympathy.

  • Assuming James has told the story accurately there should be NO argument unless James has gone to the driver in his vehicle and threatened him. Being forced into a turn is enough to make anyone shout something.

  • Benjam

The witness was the prison officer

    Deflated

  • if it weren't for people like james making a stand against people who don't adhere to the laws of driving then these types of people would carry on doing as they do.
maybe, just maybe the next time he'll indicate before turning, i doubt it but hopefully it's not long before someone fucks him or his car up.

lately, i've been getting in to a few minor incidents with various drivers.. i went through a spell of calm, and with the change of season i've noticed i've become a bit more aggresive against anyone who either cuts me up, doesn't signal or generally drives in an inconsiderate way. i'm getting close to the stage where i think i may get physical with the next driver who inconsiderately cuts me up or puts me in a dangerous situation.. and when that happens all 10 stone of me is gonna rain down a fury of such bewildering teenage angst they or their vehicle is gonna get done.

  • Committing a S.4 or S.5 POA offence is not classed as an assault.

    Incorrect.

  • well done james, the cunt put his hands on you and theres no excuse for that.

  • What? is this the 30's?

    belped with brusing.

  • well done james, the cunt put his hands on you and theres no excuse for that.

There is also no excuse for a motorist not indicating. I see it all too often. Everybody needs to make clear their intentions.
