Would anybody be available to coach/facilitate o any of the days noted? Penge is friendly with warm pubs for apres polo activities.

Thanks guys. Tell me if you need anything, apart from bodies. Some fresh offcut piping around the place as the new gas pipes are currently being installed. Wicksie any help would be great. Call around anytime - late night thurs is best generally.

I'll have some pole offcuts in the next few days, probably about 50-60cm long, if they are any use for this?
-
• #33
They're probably going to be too short. I cut a bunch of mallets down to around 60cm for my 8 to 10 year olds and most of them probably need around a 70 to 75cm. Even the ones that 60cm would fit prefer to use longer ones than you'd expect.
I'd love to help out at this but Penge is just too far away.

Sundays are usually good for me. Might not make all three of them but definitely one, possibly two.

Done! I'll drop you a line to confirm. If there's the thick yellow pipe lying around, then that's the stuff you need.

Thanks guys. There will be adults as well. The grant was to enable the club to facilitate all ages into your fantastic sport.
Wicksie - as soon as they cut the fresh delivery i'll grab whatever offcuts there are laying around.

THIS Sunday? Winnie, will try my best to get to to make the mallets, but it won't be the Thursday I'm afraid.
Or it might be easier if I make them and bring them with me.
I need to confirm I can make this however... -

Hi Winnie, I'd love to help you and the kids again. Since I'm local (ish) I could maybe come round before the sessions to help you build the mallets if you like? Failing that this is a good guide:
YouTube - Legit - How to make a bike polo mallet - quick'n dirty
I have enough balls we can use but can't sell them on at this stage because I still need them for the beginners sessions. We also have a loaner bike that I could possibly bring for the session if need be.
These kids are great and the last session was really good.
