I've got them and they've been fine, you just need to use a good quality cassette where the cogs are joined together so the load is spread out on the splines.

Great wheels, I'd recomend them to anyone.
By bolt on I presume you mean bolt though? I'd now use nothing else, it stiffens up the front of the bike and improves the handling through rocky/technical decents with a very small weight gain. Also if you go for Rock Shox or Fox the axles require no tools to release the wheel.

do yourself a favor and get the stans rims version. even if you don't want to run tubeless you might in the future.

I'm looking at a Hope Pro2 wheelset, but I'm slightly put off by stories of chewed-up splines. Anyone have them and can shed some light?
Also, is it silly to go for bolt-on? Seems like the extra stiffness is worth it. Not a huge hardship to carry a multitool for puncture times, is it?
