Mobile Phone Photographic Competition 2010-2011

OPEN TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS

RULES:
One image per person only, in any one category.....TAKEN ONLY WITH A MOBILE PHONE.
Image size to be a minimum of 960pixels lengthways, to maximum 1900pixels lengthways.
Images only to be posted from the 1st day of each new month, till the last day OR when the competition is CLOSED for that month's category.
Enter basic info on how the image was changed from original (colour changes, cropping, etc)
Add details of mobile phone make and model, and camera specification.
Entries are allowed right up to the last** day of each month.** ******This is an IMPORTANT CHANGE******
Judges can request a larger file size directly, or query the file with the poster/entrant.
All images must belong to the poster, and be verifiable.
Entries may also be ones that have already been posted on this forum.
**No (clear, and or, graphically depicted) images of nude below-waist sexual organs**.
No images deemed profane under legal guidelines....naked children etc,
Prizes not yet decided, but there will be one for the overall winner. Category winners will be headlined each month.

CATEGORIES / THEMES:
August - People [in groups / crowds].

September - A Portrait [of a single person].
October - Flora [plantlife, any].
November - Home / House / Apartment-Flat / Human dwelling.
December - Weather.
January - Action.
February - A Bicycle, or Bicycles.
March - Homage to (Image In Style Of) Classic Photograph or Photographer
April - Fauna [animal(s), any].
May - Landscape / Cityscape / Seascape / Airscape.
June - At Work.
July - Macro / Close-up.

TIPS:
Interpretations of each category/theme - Just represent each theme as you see it.
Decide if image needs coolour enhancement, or would be better submitted in black and white, or other monotone/duotone.
If you don't have image editing software, try Paint.NET. Its free, and extremely useful.
Do consider hosting images elsewhere (Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa), then link them into your post (saves server memory).
Clean your lens.
Really go for that extra special shot - its going to be very competitive. Try to be original, or at least submit an attention-grabbing image.
If requested to send your image to one of the judges, please commpress if first (Zip file)

Dogs, a portrait normally has to show a face. If the judges don't allow the image, it may be based on that interpretation, as well as the sizing rules.*

But you can swap that for another at a later time if you wish. You have exactly 3 weeks left.

*I'm not a judge, and can't add or subtract any scores.

I disagree with this:

September - A Portrait [of a single person].
I prefer group portraits, it seems illogical to disclude them. I dont expect to win anything anyway. But here is my non conforming entry.
