Wanted: Seat post for Peugeot Talisman '79

Hi,
I have an old Peugeot and am looking at up dating the seatpost. Problem is its a weird size. I don't have a micro meter but it think it is the region of 21-22mm.

If anyone knows what sizes fit that would be great but also if they have one for sale with a modern seat clamp that would be even better.

isnt the word on the street to buy something from decathlon? some sort of btwin seatpost which comes with a few shims for different sizes.??

measure the circumference of the seatpost & divide by pi(3.14159265) to get a reasonably accurate diameter reading

Checked out the decathlon site and will look in to further. Will keep you posted.

Seatpost for an old peugeot is a nightmare...forget about decathlon, is a guarantee you can't find it! The original seat post is 22mm with additional adjuster (is it what you call it as 'adjuster'?- the ring inside tube of the seatpost and the seatpost) - 'The Adjuster' is difficult to find, as the size is quite small...

ive done it recently with a decathlon on a 24mm holed seatpost frame opening. need to cut the thin shim in half with some tinsnips, then it works like a dream. just use a bit of muscle...............
