Pro-Lite Sardinia Track Chainset?

  • Has anyone got any experience of the above chainset? At £49 it could well be quite the bargain.

    Unless it's shit.

  • i dont know about the sardinia. would like to see it in the flesh. have been considering the sondria but for that kind of money it might be better to get the sram omniums

  • What bb does the Sardinia use?
The Sondria uses some obscure proprietary splined thing that is probably only made by Pro-lite.
I'd steer clear and go for something that uses a more readily available bb system.

  • Just got one of these in a 48t from CRC sale for £33 before they sold out - Seemed too cheap not too. It's square taper, anyone got one know what length/jis or iso BB to use? There are no details on CRC or the pro-lite website.

I contacted Pro-Lite by email, they said it is 108 mm, JIS square taper. Hope this helps, and please tell us how this crank performs and your feelings about it.

  • ^ Cheers - Contacted them aswell and got the same, helpful customer service. Should be built up next week hopefully. Though I stripped the grey anodizing off and polished it because it looks bleaugh - Nice quality forging + shape, similar to the genetic tibias.
