What lacquer to use for frame repainting

Hi guys,

What Lacquer is best to use on a fame to give a hard wearing varnished look.

I have been finding that the spray ones are a bit crap and don't really protect the paint at all from chipping / scrapes.

Any advice much appreciated.

2 component laquer is the toughest, you can buy it in a spraycan but thats going to be more expensive than taking it to armourtex i just read in the other thread
