Mine wanted £20, and could do it in a week + 1/2. CRC had the tools posted, next day for £18.

I went into Condor and asked them to do the same thing and the bloke took the frame downstairs and reappeared four minutes later with my bb in a resealable bag. I asked him how much and he told me not to worry about it.
Must be like Tokyo Fixed Gear - it depends who you get.

A busy Saturday is generally the time to get the worst service in a bikeshop. Choose a quiet mid afternoon tends to a good rule of thumb.

£35 is fucking insane, bad stuff Condor, you could buy the the tools for less.
I vote we march on Condor, kill everyone - even the customers and then burn the place to it's foundations.

Ed is currently furiously digging an underground tunnel from his house towards Condor, on his back he carries several hundred pounds of high explosive and a hunting knife for the survivors.

I had to get a bb out of my mtb, but my BB tool was too fat (wall thickness??) so I took it to my independant LBS, who did it for free. They also give me a 10% discount on stuff... Just sayin'.

As I bought the wrong tool, I asked in the LMNH if they could remove the freewheel for me.
I asked how much, as I know this is their livelihood, and was told, that the service was included with my lunch ;-) -

buy yourself a day return to Brighton (tenner), have an awesome lunch somewhere (tenner), visit our little voluntary workshop called Cranks and do it yourself (free) and go for a wee bike ride along the see front or something.

Went to condor to remove bottom bracket. It's not seized or anything, I just don't have a bb tool. They quoted me £35. Their reasoning "cos we might need to put it in a vice." what are they on. Went round to bikefix and had the job done in 2 minutes. When I asked how much "tenner or a fiver or something". Condor take the piss.
