  • It’s up a Mountain...

  • I've known roughly where this is for ages, just couldn't be arsed to head up there and search the streets!
Had gears, Muesli Mountain won't beat me today!
Cobden Road, Hanover community bike shed.

Nice! Looks like "Take a hat" has been replaced with something equally cool and interesting... I must swing up there again and take a look.

    Love your Massi... very classic.

  • Over the road from the PDSA... the little back road that runs alongside the railway line and the backs of the houses at the bottom of Millers Road.

  • Cheers!

I didn't actually notice it had changed until I looked back at the picture. Hanover though, they love a bit of community spirit up there!

  • Keen to get involved but this has me stumped... Any clues?

  • Hi Jack. Glad you want to be involved! Always good to have more players getting in on this good thing.

tbh I think I've made this one a bit too hard. I wanted to highlight this interesting and unusual signpost, but thinking on it, it is a tough one to find.

The signpost points west - east. Hove and Worthing are to the west, sure. But London is actually due north, and Patcham is to the north and east (and more northerly than easterly).

The house behind the signpost always seems to be flying a flag, but I didn't look too closely at what the flag is. It's located to the west of the London Road.

Hope this is enough to go on... I can give more clues later on if necessary.

  • I have to say I really do have no idea. If no one has this soon let’s keep the ball rolling!

That said, I’m sure someone knows this as it’s quite a noticeable sign

  • It's opposite a well-known stadium...

  • I think I may have an idea! Thanks for the clues, will see if I get chance to go out that way after work

  • Finally, clues helped greatly!

  • Good one. It looks great, plus I don’t know where it is. Hahaha!

    Working on this problem....

  • Shout if you want a clue

  • Wow, donkeys' years in Brighton and never spotted this! Nestling under Marine Parade, just before the Marina if you're cycling out from Brighton...

  • Sillwood Road.

When I touched down in Brighton in autumn 1992, the taxi from the station dropped me exactly where your bike is! I was looking for Sillwood Terrace. The taxi driver said he'd been driving in Brighton for 25 years, and had never heard of Sillwood Terrace! He dropped me in Sillwood Rd. and told me to look around. Sillwood Terrace was then pretty easy to find.

Nice to go back there today.
