Going to St John for an early supper tonight, just sitting at the bar as won't have time for a full meal. Obviously I'll be having marrow, any other recommendations?
Oh and can someone post about how it's overpriced and rubbish and X other restaurant is cheaper and better. Thanks
The sweetbreads are amazing and obviously the welsh rarebit.
I went a few weeks ago with a friend, we sat opposite a very depressed looking ralph fiennes eating dinner on his own.
He had already finished one bottle of wine half way through the main course. -

I went to her deli next door, but was underwhelmed by it and the cheese offering - couldn't find anything I fancied. Would like to hear how it is though - have a beer in The Churchill Arms over the road while you're about, excellent pub.

Cooking Christmas dinner for 10 this year and NYE meal for 12...
Both will be 4 course spectaculars.
Kind of looking forward to it but very wary that it will be an awful lot of frantic hard work and I might well get a bit sweary.
Now fuck off out my kitchen.

@C_Pun, how was Clarke's?

@C_Pun, how was Clarke's?
Really nice actually, great service (I'm guessing this is helped by limited seating) Not cheap but the food was excellent and worth it.
I had a mushroom risotto to start and monkfish with a salsa verde, both excellent. I can't quite remember dessert right now though which is irritating me somewhat
I bought some duck rillette from the deli next door, which was ace

We have some choice duck rillette we brought back from France.. Once the body fat % goes down a bit I'll tuck into it with great gusto..
I love rillette.
