Got two of these for the brompton....!
likely to make the bike less stable tbh.
£1 a wheel in halfrauds bargain bucket so nothing to loose as such.
well worth a £2 spend!
😍 what would be the cost on one of those if you had a M3 with ti post and saddle to build from. I have schwalbe ones on my road, how robust are they to the horrors of urban riding?
For balance I'd say I've used their Dalston shop for fitting various parts and upgrades I've purchased on here and they've never been anything less than excellent (and way cheaper than other London brompton mechs in my part of town)
First week on the new, ever so slightly modded Brompton. Disks make a world of difference on wet London roads! Thanks @r.hobbs
Glad your having fun.
I fancy an alfine on my electric but with baby2 due spring the payout right now is probably not best!
About £1200 with hope hubs!
Lovely tyres, I wouldn’t go with them for commutes though. I use racers, will
Use continentals when the proper sized ones arrive... I have 3 pairs of samples that are too big for guards 😬😬😬
Noticed SJS now have CSS rims in Brompton sizes - what are they like? Seems like they'd be worthwhile for a small-wheeler?
Had them for ages! Now built into wheels though.
I need to replace the rim tape on a pre 2013 brompton.
Will these do the job?
I would fit - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rims-tape/jtek-rim-tape-18-x-1070-mm-for-etrto-349-double-wall-rim-16/
This is what’s fitted stock - https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rims-tape/brompton-rim-tape-12-x-1030mm-for-etrto-349-rim-16/
You know you want one
only able to chase you to 15.5mph...
...needs blue skateboard wheels
Lit-up ones, at that
Got 2pairs/4 roller blade ones going spare!
2 speed derailleur mods / improvements.
Stage one, stop the flop!
2mm x 14mm rods/pins (spokes)
One either side of the bolt = much stiffer / precise movement of the mech.
@finger_jockey Now that is an idea.
They're going to happen on my Brompton project when it's finished, for sure.
Discounted Brompton parts on sjs, shop soiled, brand new never ridden just can’t be sold as new!
Search “soiled Brompton”
I had great fun emailing my colleague getting the parts set up..
